Greetings!
On behalf of The Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys, I invite you to join us in Atlanta on March 21-23, 2012 for our 7th Annual Conference. This year’s theme is “ Leadership – Spanning Generations and Optimizing Technology.” As in the past, we will have outstanding keynote speakers and panelists covering topics of interest including “The Ingredients of Leadership: How Leading Promotes Your Brand Throughout Your Career;” “More War Stories of Women of Color Attorneys;” and “Judges Speak Out: Choosing the Judiciary and Leading on the Bench.” Our Speed Mentoring Session is back as well as panels on Business Development, featuring some of the leading rainmakers in the country.
Keynoting our scholarship luncheon this year is Paulette Dodson, General Counsel of Sara Lee Corporation, and our second day luncheon will feature a conversation with Judge Claire Anne Claire Williams. Also joining us this year is the senior vice president and chief human resources officer of Walgreen’s, Kathleen Wilson-Thompson.
As we continue to fund scholarships with McGuireWoods, our Scholarship sponsor for young women of color pursuing a legal career, we will also continue to host college students who are considering a career in law. There will be presentations on our student track, law school deans, financial experts and young associates who can share their own “war” stories.
We hope to see all of you in Atlanta in March! Register now and lock in the early bird registration rate.
Best wishes,
Marian
